Heiar is also leaving Iowa

I get that but I still hate seeing true freshman leave the team. It is a little different when a Junior or even Sophomore leaves seeing they will not crack the starting lineup, decide to quit football, or whatever. But true freshman that have been at Iowa for a few months leaving is tough, they have not even given the Iowa program a chance.

Heiar was a Juco, you would have thought had he come in and worked hard he could have helped.

Hat tip to PRHawk from TOS for finding this nugget on Wisconsin's attrition: Scout.com: Hawk fan here with a comment and a question.

And from a Florida poster: "Since 2006, Florida has had 46 4 or 5 star recruits either quit the team, never got off the bench, transfer, or got booted for legal issues. All led by that Will Hill Clown"

If someone wants to argue Iowa's attrition is any higher than the BCS average, please supply some facts from outside the black-and-gold cocoon. Maybe it's true... but just a quick glance around the country indicates this stuff happens everywhere.

I have to admit there really are quite a few guys on this board who do indeed educate themselves and embrace not only reality, but try to gain some perspective before thy lament our team. That info is congruent with what I’ve seen to be true…

I think I read a Rob Howe tweet that said Heiar is leaving because it was clear that JVB was going to start over Ruddock next year, and that he came to Iowa to block for the second coming of Drew Tate, not the second coming of Kyle McKann.

I want stars.
While Allen Trieu was in Ohio checking out recruits you fell thru the cracks - kinda like Dallas Clark. But if you walk on at Iowa I see you as the next starting TE with a real shot at the NFL. You're just another example of a talent under-rated.

Why do you find it necessary to sign each of your posts?

Glad you asked…….started out as a point that no one wants anyone to know who they are on the Internet (frees them up to easily critique others in my opinion) and I go out of the way to do just the opposite. Now I’ll confess it grows tiring, but I’d feel like a "sell-out” if I quit……

Especially in lieu of those it irritates so much…

Not all so salacious or mysterious is it…..and stupid is in the eye of the beholder, so it is what it is.

PS…….it really stems from my practice at work, and you’ll find many people who aspire to high levels of accountability, of signing anything I put down in writing. Instructions, Repair Orders, etc, etc, etc…..

IN fact, at work I usually date it (as do several other people) so would you prefer I do that…..just kidding…it’s a good habit to get into. Makes people less likely to question who you are, what you are about and whether something did indeed come from you. Now I’ll concede, it doesn’t necessarily do that here, but we are creatures of habit if nothing else…..:D
