The Heat are unquestionably the more significant team. Like I said earlier, almost no one is celebrating the Mavs, but instead are celebrating the Heat's loss. I wouldn't be surpised if the Larry O'Brien trophy didn't read "2011 NBA Champion Not-Heat"

Only in today's world where hype is more important than results. Pretty amazing. Dallas beats the hype machine favorites. Kobe, Durrant, and James. Everyone talked about what the Lakers were going to have to do after that loss, whether Westbrook and Duant could win together, and now it's all about the Heat.

Sorry, but Dallas is the more significant team. They put together a blueprint to beat the slashing superstar dominated teams. Watch other teams pick up that style after the new CBA gets passed and it will be a whole lot better and more competitive NBA.

Very true. Also good luck to teams trying to duplicate the Mavs style. You only need to find a 7 foot tall, terrific jump shooter, who is a top five player in the game and build around him, should be no problem.

I'm not one crying that the Heat lost, but "Flop-five" are you kidding me? The team gets thrown together in the offseason,gels, and makes it to the NBA championship that same year. Granted they didn't win, but seriously, I'd call that a pretty damn good season.

On a side note, I forgot to mention that I think we're also forgetting how good a team Dallas is. It's not the Heat just lost the finals by themselves, they were beat by a great team. Why take credit away from the Mavericks, because Miami lost.
