Heard that coaches said that...

Because in 2012 Davis put on a PSU uniform and decimated our O line. Meanwhile, back in reality.

It could also force Rudock to make plays down the field. He knows if he checks down and we don't move the ball, CJ is in the game. If I'm Rudock, I'm going to go out there and play to win...and try to make plays because I want to be the guy.

I think at this point KF and GD feel that Rudock hasn't done anything wrong to lose his job and they want to be fair...but they also realize that CJ has major upside...and this is how they migrate to CJ. In other words, they are spineless losers that are afraid to make a difficult decision that may impact a player that took them to a bowl game last year.

It's really kinda hard to judge if 2 qb systems work or not. Take Northwestern for instance. They aren't really a very good team whether they play one qb or two so it's hard to pin the losses on the fact that they play two. There is no way to know if they would have ended up being a better team had they just picked one and went with it.

We have already lost to a really bad team this year using just one qb so I doubt using two can make us look much worse than we did the first 3 weeks. If we lose a game people can say it's because we never gave our qb a chance to get into the flow of the game, but it's just as easy to say we won a game because we gave the other guy a chance early on and he caught fire. Who knows how much this would change the final record.

Thank God you weren't coaching the Hawks when Brad Banks lost to ISU...

Yea right! We win the Orange Bowl for sure if Kirk pulls the trigger on Chandler after ISU! Carson Palmer should thank Kirk because that decision is the only reason he has a Heisman.

That's kinda what I was thinking. It might force Rudock to be more aggressive and that might be a good thing for him. On the other hand, it might force him to play beyond his abilities. Maybe he doesn't throw those medium/long passes because he knows his limitations. I think Rudock would be much better off in a traditional I formation type offense with playaction. He could make those types of medium/long throws. CJB has enough talent to overcome the certain blitz in the spread and hit a strike into a small window.

Fans want a QB rotation
Coaches do not do a QB rotation
Fans are mad

Fans want a shake up at QB
Coaches implement a QB rotation
Fans are mad

The vocal minority sure can't decide what they want.

I couldn't care less about a rotation. As a fan, I want to see the team win. I also want an exciting game...at that point CJB gives fans something to cheer for. I also think he gives Iowa the best chance to win. I want CJB as the starter.

So you and others wouldn't cheer for the Hawks if Jake is in the game?

I saw 5 minutes of the practice today. JR was playing w/ the 2s. The WRs were DW and MV. All it means is they are still splitting reps.
