**Hawks/Wolverines Official thread**

Very possible. Young teams will be up and down. I'm going to enjoy this one for now.

Might not win at Nebraska. I would be very pleased with a 2-2 record right now.....

Win most of the home games and we just might be in a good position.....

The Lads from the state of Indiana might attempt to destroy this scenario. Purdue and Indiana that is. Other games we should win at Carver.....

The possiblility exists.....

I feel like Pemsl and Cook are going to improve a ton as the year goes on. Having two guys that can score down low and push people around is going to be huge over the next few years.

I agree. We gave up too many offensive rebounds today, but when they both buy into playing defense and boxing out, our defense will improve mightily.

They both have the bodies for rebounding for sure. It seems like something they can improve on quickly.

So, I have a question for you regarding this comment you made in regards to Wilson of Michigan. Career game today for him. However, he's a junior who didn't play much his 1st 2 seasons at Michigan . Wouldn't you normally call that player a bust? I mean his 1st start wasn't even until this year.

He was barely a top 100 recruit because he was a project. Plus he played behind some really good guys

Yes, but if a freshman doesn't contribute right away, or doesn't improve going into his sophomore year for Iowa, you are willing to write them off (Moss and Ellingson). Now, neither of those have the ceiling of Wilson, but you do see how players can sit, learn, practice and get better. Wilson played 11 minutes against Virginia Tech earlier this year, scored 2 points, and fouled out. Not a good game. It happens.

5656 has never understood the concept of basketball players improving with time. I think he should be a Kentucky fan.

I really enjoy watching this team play. They aren't the best team Fran has had, but they are the most fun to watch in my opinion. It's nice to have some promising young players with good athleticism which is something Iowa has seriously lacked under Fran.

I found that funny too. Fran has had a lot of players do what he did today but sucks at recruiting, yet Wilson doing it today is proof that Beilein can receuit?
