Got home in time to watch the final 16 minutes. Thrilled for the Hawkeye players (and coach), but boy, those were two subpar teams out there. Even in the win, Iowa's offense was SO stagnant -- basically standing around looking at the guy with the ball. Nebraska is really undertalented for the BTen, and I don't think they scored a basket the last 6-7 minutes of the game. The 2nd half was more the Huskers missing shots endlessly and losing it than Iowa winning it, but hey, a W is a W!
Couldn't believe Hoiberg didn't press, didn't do ANYTHING to try to change the momentum and get the crowd involved in the 2nd half.
I think Nebraska is soon going to stop scheduling Iowa as their last game of the season: beating their football team and denying them a bowl game two years in a row, and now keeping their bball team out of the BTen tourney!
