Felt with about 1:30 left in the game Stirtz clearly put himself over the team. Not a good look and basically let a guy score without contention, can't do that no matter how important you think you are to the team.

Nope. Stirz was instructed to fire away under duress as the shot clock neared 0.
He was elected to take low % shots, which made sense, but made him look bad.
Learn to watch the game, then comment. As to the “without contention”: probably an and1 if he had contested.

Needed to play a much better non conference schedule. Ole Miss and Iowa State were the only power 4 matchups. Beating up on bad teams is fine but does it really prep a team for B1G regular season? 1-2 better matchups may have helped.

Preach that sermon every other power 5 team in the Country.

New coach, new players, new system - same end result. Get down and fight at the end and come up short.

They did fight hard but these lapses to start games are not acceptable from anyone's standpoint except the competition. We came out flat and missing our own rims.

Hope the coach can have some success addressing this anomaly. Two games straight, one on road and one at home.

We were simply outmanned by the illini

Plus caught off guard

We adjusted and made a game of it

We were Never going to go undefeated in the Big Ten

We gave #3 Iowa State all they could handle at their house

One could just enjoy the games and cheer the Lads on
