After Hawks take care of MSU - must we root for PSU to beat Huskers?

Another loss for a division foe and would we not love to play Penn St in Big 10 Title game @ Indy??

Doesn't feel right to cheer them on at this moment.....

As I do sympathize with the PSU players, I do not at all for the University as a whole. I hope that PSU gets destroyed in every one of their remaining games and not because I want the players to suffer, but for the university to crumble for what they've allowed to happen over the past however many years. I've said this in other threads, but this is so far beyond just football. The people that were at the top of this university are a disgrace to mankind.

Iowa controls it's own fate in regards to making it to Indy. PSU beating NU will make no difference as PSU is not in our division. Iowa wins out and Iowa goes to Indy. I never thought I would say this but......GO BIG RED!!!

No, it's not the player's fault--but guess what--i'm pretty sure those players could voice their opinions to not allow mequerry to be coaching this weekend--- all they have to do is protest to play and pretty sure mcqueery is gone.....

this is beyond football now---if i had to trade the hawks to loose 0-3 to see PSU crumble every game on out and that carrot top wuss get his leg broken i'd sign up right now

I feel terrible for most of PSU players, but cheering for them feels like cheering eith those that rioted, destroyed property in support of Paterno.

I can't do it. Iowa can take care of its own business and play whichever team/ teams they earn the right to play.

If Nebraska losing meant something to us it would mean we make it to the big ten championship with a 5-3 record and if we would win that we would then have 4 losses. Not really deserving of a Rose Bowl anyways so I have no issue with Nebraska beating Penn State this week even if it helps us in the standings for the reverse to happen.

Not really deserving of a Rose Bowl anyways so I have no issue with Nebraska beating Penn State this week even if it helps us in the standings for the reverse to happen.

Not about who deserves to be there, it is who gets there. I'd take a Rose Bowl appearance under any circumstance. I hear you that we'd like the Hawks to sport a better record, but it's about getting there that counts. Win out and it doesn't matter what Nebraska does this week, or the next.

It's because it matters. Another loss for Nebraska is good for us as it increases our chances to get in to the B10 title game. Not interested in that?

If Iowa wins out, they will win the division at 6-2 and 9-3 overall. win the BTCG and go to the Rose Bowl at 10-3, that gets Iowa a chance to end the season at 11-3 and give Iowa 2 BCS wins out of the last 3 years. i hope this would give Iowa the recognition to get in on some 5* players

another reason to root against PennSodomyU, McCreary will not be allowed to coach in any capacity, on the field or the Coaches box, because of threats. the University announced that just now on ESPN.
that's truly sad, he was a Grad Assistant when he reported it to Joe Paterno, and if you follow the Police Commisioner, he followed the law just as Joe Paterno did by telling his supervisor, can you imagine the fallout if he had gone to the police back then with him being a GA, PennSodomyU can lose every game they play from here on out.
and to those that rip on this individual for not doing more get a life, put yourself in his position, you are a grad assistent under one of the most powerful coaches in the country what would you do.
