I was thinking about this earlier today. Well it was a jinx just like it bit the football team after their cover late in the year this year.

And just like the last cover iirc was the 2009 football team heading into the home game with jNW which they lost after stanzi's injury.

The date on the cover is Feb. 8. Iowa beat Illinois on the 7th and has lost 4 of 5 since.

Our downfall was when Uthoff shaved......The old Samson and Delilah parable, but w/out Delilah, whom I've heard is De-lovely, bad sign, bad omen, bad juju, call it what you will, the SI curse is alive and well....

Things I believe include stuff like letting it go to your head, not being able to handle the pressure, other teams figuring you out and you don't/can't adjust, etc.

One thing I do NOT believe in: jinxes. Although sometimes I have to admit it does feel like they are real.
