Hawks #22 in latest AP Poll

You mean excluding the sellout 15,400 who will be attending?

I see.

We sold out some of our crappy OOC games, too. Was everyone really that excited to take on Penn? I didn't think so.

I would bet tomorrow's sellout has got a lot less to do with Nebraska than it's got to do with being the conference opener and being one of the home games that would be the easiest to get tickets for. The matchup itself doesn't generate a lot of buzz at all.

I get excited for every conference game...and the vast majority of the non conference games. Nebraska is in the Kenpom top 100. We are tied for 1st in the conference with a win. We haven't played a team with a pulse since Iowa State. Nebraska will likely beat a contending team or 2 over the course of the season...making this win look better later IMO. I'm very excited about the game for a lot of reasons.

And based on that post, I don't think you qualify as an average fan. The average fan doesn't get psyched to play Nebraska.

It's not Nebraska that has fans excited.

It's the extended time off and the conference opener of a season with high expectations.

Sorry, but no we didn't. I know what they announce and it's always tickets sold versus the truth of butts in seats.

Notre Dame was sold/attended out. Arky Pine Bluff was not. Penn was not. FD was not. I was there for all of those.

Now, will the Nebby game produce the overall fan-base buzz the @ Wisky game will? Of course not. But to say there won't be any buzz for a B1G opener at home is just not accurate.

It produces a pretty big buzz for me as I drove the 5+ hours to Lincoln last February and watched us lose by 4. Granted we won at home 2 weeks later, but if you aren't buzzed for any league game, something's wrong.
