He has been a beast today and something to look forward to next year.

Special teams: A- (Wetjen didn't have opportunities, Nice FGs from stevens, but the OOB hurt)
Lester: A
Stratton: O (for outstanding. Unfair to assign grades to Kindergartners...so he gets an outstanding). Also a certificate for no interceptions.
Offensive Line: A
Running backs: A
Parker: B (but it's an honors class, so counts as a 4.0)
D line: A
Secondary: C+ (yah, the interceptions were nice, but they need some encouragement)

He's only got 323 points. Running the risk of a shutout at Nebraska and coming up short.

Glad to see those guys having fun. It has been a rough week and a up and down year. Kirk has his faults, but keeping this team engaged with nothing to play for is impressive.

Not that I know enough or *should* be a head coach. Or an OC.

But Ferentz was already doing whatever I was screaming at him to do. Usually doesnt shake out like that. That end of the first I'm like "let's call those time outs here".

Then I wanted him to give Stratton some shots there. And he did.

I wanted him to give Stratton the shot at the 2 pt. He sent him out there before the penalty.

He went for it on 4th and short.

He was getting feisty about some of the confusing no calls.

This Lester/Ferentz combo has some life at least.

And I say that with zero snark or cynicism.

They can run the ball. And Stratton showed me nothing of concern. At least nothing where I wouldn't expect improvement at every step.

Yeah. The announcer talked about a couple of errors by Shaggy and then complimented him for not making the same mistake again. And, Tim Lester is a really, really good QB coach. The future is bright.
