Hawkeyes - Spartans (Senior Day) Game Thread

Nice ending to a fugly game. For the first three quarters Gronowski's arm looked as bad as the first half of the Albany game. I gave up on the game, and missed the first field goal drive of the fourth quarter.

Based on the betting line (-16) and O/U (42) the projected score would be 29-13 Iowa
Defense did its job as expected.
Offense came up short as they did in ISU / IU / OR / USC games.

What an ugly game. Just bad football. The defense is not stopping anyone. The last three games I really blame the defense for making the other QB's look good. Total lack of pressure.

As for the offense, what a shit show. Why does Lester insist on throwing the ball when Iowa is ripping off 7-8 yards a carry? Why? Gronowski can run pretty good but is arm sucks. Two lucky catches saved the whole game for Iowa. Hey Lester, Nebraska can't stop the run, do not pass the ball, ever! If you win the coin toss, defer, your offense is not good. Pretty simple stuff.

I genuinely woke up this morning believing we could not have a single pass attempt and still win by thirty.
