Once she gets her legs a little stronger and can give herself a strong base so she doesn't get knocked off balance when posting up & playing defense look the hell out... She can score with either hand around the rim. She didn't show it today but she can hit that 15 ft elbow J like O'Grady. Ava is the real deal. To be as skilled and talented as she is now is scary. When she's a finished product in 3 yrs Jan will have had made her masterpiece I think. A combo of Gustafson. Monica C and the others she's had. Ava won't have may weaknesses down the road.
Nice win. 1st half til the last 2 mins of it felt a tad dicey. We gotta play smarter and not commit early/dumb fouls. That 2nd on Hannah was terrible. To commit that out on the wing hedging was so not necessary at all.
Lucy has to as well she got herself in foul trouble too. Beyond that we missed a few bunnies I wish they hadn't.
That's all nitpicking though cause holy crap once they did get it going they just did whatever the heck they wanted. Ava just showed what she's all about. Stremlow came out aggressive and not scared of anything. 10 huge pts for her. Lucy of course was orchestrating most all of it. Everyone got in the scoring column. The 2nd half of that game couldn't have been better.

Was at the game. Told my wife after the first qtr Iowa was gonna win this game by 25-30 pts. Even when Murray st cut it to 5 w/ around 1:30 left in the half I reiterated that Iowa was gonna win this going away. Murray st was so outmatched. They have zero inside game and when a team is as one dimensional as they are all Iowa needed to do is guard the 3 pt line hard and they’d win easily. Iowa could’ve won that game by 50-60 pts. Oklahoma should b a fun game.

I've been a Hawkeye fan for over fifty years and cheered for everything HAWKEYE. My big interest focused on the men's sports, mainly football and basketball. My wife seemed uninterested UNTIL...........Cait ball come along. Suddenly my wife was following the Lady Hawks and for the first time was following schedules. We both enjoyed following Cait during her Junior and Senior years. It was so much fun!!!
Well as you know we are all waiting to see who will be Iowa's next men's basketball coach. Well I have been searching the web and YouTube on who it might be. While searching YouTube under Iowa basketball I came across this highlight video and thought it was fun to watch so I decided to share it over hear. If it was alread posted I am sorry, but I thought others would enjoy it so here it is............
