Thought I heard a story about Brian and Barta screaming at each other after the Purdue loss. Realize Barta's not part of the team but still, if true....yeah that's not good.

Heard the story from people I trust. Did not witness it to determine how bad it was.
That said, I don't think that has anything to do with the story I linked here.
Why the hell would they be screaming at each other? I mean did Barta come into the locker room like Jerry JOnes of the Cowboys or some other pro owner that start reading the riot act?
I would say the defense had the big breakdowns in this game or through a lack of pressure gave up too many big plays.
The offense scored a bunch and I know they didnt run out the clock with the lead or run it way down but that has been a major problem for Kirk's teams forever.
Can you elaborate on what you heard? I understand if you’d prefer not to.

They will most definitely finish strong. I think that it’s shaping up to finish up like 2008, and next season will start like 2009. They will win the close games, and win a bowl game or 3.

Jesus, I mean holy Jesus. If you aren't going to call that, why have refs at all? Im surprised the bench didn't get cleared over that. Against the rules to clear the bench???? Well so is a horse collar!!!!!

It's like the three seconds in the lane rule in basketball. It hardly ever gets called anymore, clear down to middle school, and I've talked to high school refs, who now have three person crews in Wisconsin at the varsity level, and they admit it isn't enforced that much anymore.
If I'm a high school coach, I'm planting a post player down there all night until it does get called.
It's based on the same principal as a targeting call, it's for player safety. It absolutely should be called!!
I'm not saying go overboard and call a second long slight tug on the Jersey, but come on, that's not what happened and not what we are talking about.
