Hawkeyes - Cornhuskers Game Thread

Look I’m not complaining, but by the level of the law, that’s targeting, right? What am I missing?
From one angle, it looked to me like IA player was in downward motion to knock ball loose, while Nebby player, also in downward motion, initiated the contact. It was really close, but if anything, the head to head looked incidental to the majority of the contact. I initially thought targeting as well, but a replay convinced me otherwise. One would almost need a replay with slow motion feature. The non-call was correct IMO.

I'm pretty sure that we won that game (I say "we" because my fam is pretty much on the team now) because we had lunch right next to Gronowski, Dunker, and Jones.

You're welcome!

But, also I didn't wear any Hawk gear. Always better results when I don't wear gear on game day. Also, when I packed for our trip, I made sure I had perhaps my oldest pair of underwear. Always had positive outcomes, the older the underwear I wear. Also, I stopped watching for a little bit. That's seemed to help a few times the last few years.

I know at this point, I should be saving at least one pair of old lucky underwear for our mutual benefit, but even I feel I must maintain some personal standards.

As was predicted before the recent Big Ten expansion, wins are now harder to come by. This Iowa team is better than both of the last two Iowa teams that won the Big Ten West. This team is a couple bad bounces away from the playoff.
Indeed ... FINALLY a competent offense but the D and spec teams are way subpar from prev 6-8 yrs. Missed ankle tackles, some bad dback play and those spec team blunders cost them 3 winnable games against ranked teams. Iowa should be figuring out how to beat the Domers but is now planning their trip to either Tampa or Vegas.

Nothing says Nebraska like that 60 yd drive for a Hawk touchback!
Neb did our job for us on that. They burned like 6 mins off the clock to just give us the ball back at the 20 yrd line. My gosh this game was awesome. Shut em out the 2nd half. Typical bend but don't break D. O was efficient and got some chunk plays. Having a running QB that can convert those short yardage situations AND those 3rd and 6s with designed runs is such a game changer. Why programs wouldn't try to find tough mobile qbs to run the show for them is beyond me. It's the only way to go. Big time W. Always nice to put Neb in there place
