HUGE series for the Hawkeyes going on the road to face Rutgers. Rutgers has a record of 31-7 and are ranked 8th by Collegiate Baseball Poll, 21st by Perfect Game, and have an RPI of 49 going into this weekend series. They sit on top of the Big Ten standings with a 11-1 conference record. Rutgers did have their 16 game winning steak snapped when they lost to Princeton on Wednesday.

Hawkeyes are going into this series on a season high 5 game winning streak and are ranked 75th in the RPI. Any wins the Hawkeyes could grab this weekend would be huge to improve their at large chances in the Regionals.

All games will be televised on BTN+, so you will been to be a subscriber to watch the games. You can also listen for free either on the Hawkeye Radio Network or on your smart phone using The Varsity Network app.

LET'S GO HAWKEYES!!!!

T5 and Iowa has a 2-1 lead and are threatening again. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.

Rutgers stadium is nothing fancy, no video board and an old fashion score board.

Mazur has 10 strikeouts, through 6 innings Iowa still leads 2-1. Hopefully the bats will come alive!

Mazur has 11 strikeouts through 7 innings, I believe that's a career high for him. Iowa still holds a 2-1 lead.

Nice to see Nedved come in and not allow any baserunners in the 9th. Great win by the Hawks!

He only used 8 pitches, so he very well could be used again tomorrow.

Huge performance by Mazur. He had awesome command of his pitches, he was able to get through 8 innings and gave up zero walks.

Game 2 is underway, Iowa has already grabbed a 1-0 lead. The run came off a walk, wild pitch, and an error.

Everything falling apart for the Hawkeyes in this one. They are down 9-3 heading into the 5th
