Hawkeyes Add Walk-On from Dubuque

Riley Till played with Pemsl at Wahlert. Younger bother of former women's player, Claire Till.

Rob, this kid has a pretty good game. I could see him earning minutes down the road. If he is a legit 6'-7", then Pemsl looks to be about 6'-9".

Kid seems to be athletic. What is his story? Always dreamed of being a hawk? Didn't want to go to a mid-major?

His mother, Shelly Till works for the Big Ten Network now but used to be the color voice for Iowa women's basketball. As I said, his sister just finished up her college career. Held offers from Upper Iowa and Truman State.

I agree with Arvada, he has some skill. He's probably not 6-7. He'll need to develop his perimeter game when he gets here.

Like Riley's D and determination to take it to the rim with authority. He certainly could help as he gains experience. Perhaps another Nicholas Baer success story. We do need players to attack the basket.

Anyone who's willing to walk-on and earn their minutes is fine with me. If nothing else he'll help as a practice player.

For every N. Baer success story, there are probably10-15 guys who don't come close to making it that far. Hope so for Riley though.

I would have to guess that number is closer to 100. When was the last Hawkeye to do that, Darryl Moore? That's 2 in 20 years. For a B1G team, that's a lot... But let's hope Riley does something...

He is going to be a great addition to this team! His sister always put in great effort for the women's team. I think Riley can do the same and play above his size.

Selfishly I wish he would have chosen Upper Iowa University. He certainly has a good wing span, handles the rock, and knocks down 3's. Overall, solid pick up.
