Putting homerism aside, Sasso deserved to win that match.
Lugo was REAL close a couple of times, but give Sasso credit. He fought extremely hard and squeaked his way out of it every time.
Where Lugo lost the match, IMO, is in his struggles on top. He excels at defense and counter shots, but, for whatever reason, he has never been able to become that hammer that we're used to seeing at Iowa. Not that he's bad on top at all, but upper tier wrestlers rarely struggle underneath him.
