Hawkeye Women Ranked 25



Love to watch the Lady Hawks play. I wouldn't mind having Sam Logic on the Mens team.......

Good to see them back in the top 25......
 


They are a good team and play well together. Sam Logic is a heck of a player. Should be a good season for the Hawks.
 


Free admission to the Women's game on Thursday night if you like Iowa Athletics on Facebook. They are trying to get CHA a bit more full. Seem to be struggling with attendance this year, generally in the top 25 nationally (no where near ISU women's attendance, they average close to 10K per game). They have played some pretty good competition already this year, two ranked teams, beat #14 Dayton in OT and lost at #16 Colorado by 3. They are snipers from long range, their downfall as the season progresses will be a cold shooting night and lack of a true post player.
 






I thought that last year Doolittle looked like she could develop into a heck of a threat as a 4. Now she is re-learning 5 habits, but she will never have a B1G center's build, so she can get pushed around. If we get out and run, it can be a fun team that can win any game.
 


I don't consider her to be a true 5, she's 6'4, but fairly slight of frame compared to most true 5 players in the conference. She played a solid 4 last year, has a nice 16 foot jumper, she is pretty quick for 6'4, so that definitely will help her. I agree completely that if the the women get out and run, knock down 3's they can compete with the best. Of course they should when they have multiple top 100 recruits and at least two McDonald's All-Americans on the team.
