Hawkeye Recruits in Action

Providence Catholic has a great passing attack, and that means that Nate Vejoda is getting plenty of passes...along with his teammate who is headed to a bigtime school also.

Fenwick went down to Dallas and lost to Bishop Lynch 35-32 on a td run by the Arkansas bound rb for BL with less than two minutes in the game.

Beneventi did not have a great game....11 of 31 for 123 yrds, 2 tds, 1 int. and one fumble that resulted in a td for BL.

See the pics below for this week's schedule of games. The games to watch this week are Dowling vs. Valley and Fenwick vs. Loyola Academy. Jack Beneventi started the season off very poorly for Fenwick, but he had a breakout game last weekend. It'll be interesting to continue to watch his progress as the season wears on.

It sounds like Ryan Boyle and Dowling are having a tough night. They have 4 turnovers and just 7 points through 3 quarters.

Valley 24, Dowling 7--End 3

A kind poster on another board put this together for this week:

Justin Jinning's team lost 7-13 in OT, couldn't find stats from him
Brady Reiff's team won 55-0, they've only allowed 6 points in 4 games, not sure his stats either
Jacob Newborg's West Lyon team beat Emmetsburg 35-7
Brett Waecther's Hartley team lost to Hinton 27-34 and fell to 0-4
The Paulsen's Woodbury Central beat Alta-Aurelia 27-7
James Daniels' team Harding beat Maple Heights 28-6
Adrian Falconer's team got pounded by West Orange 14-47, didn't see any stats from him, saw the box score and he didn't have any td's
Emmanuel Ogwo's team was off
Nate Vejvoda's team won 37-7, it mentioned him in the article, but not his stats, they're 4-0
Jack Hockaday's team dominated 49-6 but couldn't find the box score, assuming he did ok since he's the QB
Drew Cook IC Regina beat Eddyville 38-6 he was 12 for 17 with 230 yards and 3 td, I think he only played the first half
Ryan Boyle Dowling was upset by Valley 21-24
Jack Beneventi's team got drilled, 42-0. He had 92 yards 2 picks.

i went to this game - ryan boyle looked the part - his deep ball is unreal - threw two 50 yards just a yard long - from the back of his feet. turnovers did them in, but valley seemed to be taking it to them. in the end, very exciting game 24-21.
