DJK came to mind first, but I quickly moved to our D.
Clayborn, Hunter, or Sash? Which area is most important? Front 4, LBs or Backfield? At Iowa we need good-great DL play for our LBs to roam free and make plays. We need good pass coverage in the secondary to allow our DL to apply pressure. We need a smart MLB, quick OLBs that can drop into pass coverage. So many holes and only one Keeper pick....
I think I'll go with Donahue. Ferentz always plays the field position game and it sounds like our punters were less than decent at spring scrimmage....Donahue was dang good.

Most important player with no capable back-up. Makes our defense better.
Then Sash. Left a year too soon. One more year in the NFL doesn't make your bank account. Wealthy is wealthy.

Would be set at the linebacker spot......Lot like Angerer fight through injuries and then get an opportunity to shine. He lost a shot at starting a couple times during his career due to injuries, he is a terrific athlete, we just did not get a chance to see it because of the injuries.

DJK makes plays but he is not a leader of men. He doesn't make the rest of the team better. I love DJK but even HE would tell you that Ricky Mox Stanzi was the most valuable player on the team.
I'm not worried about Dawson's stats, I think he will perform very well, but he lacks considerably in leadership. From a leadership standpoint you cannot replace # 12.
