Hawkeye Fan, Radio host Wolfgang Tragically Killed

Sad story for sure. Actually, if it isn't wet or snow, and not too steep, it is best to drive off into the ditch a ways before getting out. Worst case, you will have to get it towed out of the ditch a bit when help comes, but if you are stopping on a busy interstate you are usually looking for a tow anyhow. Very dangerous. Idiot, inattentive drivers galore.

I feel the same way about riding a bike on the road. Bike riding has always been my hobby. I rode a lot of MS150 bike rides. I just ride inside now and it's much safer than on the road.

Seems like a no brainer. I get it that some folks love the wind in their face and actually being outside but man.... Do you have to choose busy highways to do it? I've came over a hill once with a biker on the other side with a car in other lane coming at us and I had nowhere to go with no time to slow down.. I slammed on my brakes and fishtailed into the ditch. Didn't hit him or hurt my truck but scared the living hell out of me.
