How do you not have the hawk logo either across the back of the singlet or across the chest on the front of the singlet? Come on Barta... Simple is simple

why are you bringing this up - is the singlet in the news? just asking before i respond with - why mess with tradition here? i think the singlet is great and has been for a very long time.

No reason. I was thinking about the hawk at mid field for football and then wrestling crossed my mind. Our hawk logo demands respect in wrestling. You see the Hawk on the singlet and you know you have a tough match ahead of you.

call me old fashioned, but i like the simpler is better approach - especially when 'tough' is involved - no reason to get fancy - and that is iowa wrestling.

My guess is that Barta, nor anyone else, other than Gable, would even think or suggest or alter the IA singlet.

No need to, when people see the black singlets they know it is Iowa, they don't need to see the Tigerhawk on it to know what school is wrestling.

I'm pretty sure wrestlers know who their opponents are before they even step on the mat. I don't think it is keep secret.
