Your thinking is too short-term.

The truth is, Kirk and Brian have been saving all the "really good plays" for years- ever since BF joined the staff.

Once BF becomes the HC, he'll open that vault, triggering a couple undefeated regular seasons and yes possibly NC's.

The rest of cfb will eventually catch-up and return the Hawks to the land of 7-8 wins against the weaker portion of the schedule, but by then BF will have a 20 year contract.

Better sign BF to a long extension before it is too late! He is a hot commodity!

I think some people need to listen to the HN podcast and listen to what Deace says about Brian Ferentz. It seems to me that Brian gets even more irrational hatred that KOK did when he was OC.

With Wisconsin losing today it changed the whole perspective of the West. Did Kirk and Brian Foresee this and keep the new improved playbook close to his vest to make a serious run in November? We’ll find out soon enough
