Hate to say it, but...

Boise Vs. Oregon would be an epic NC game. Couldn't be more bad blood between fan bases and programs right now. Both teams get after it and have some attitude. Would love to see Oregon take it to them by epic proportions, then get in their faces after the win.

Of course I would want Iowa to win out and beat an 11-1 BCS team in the Rose Bowl. Stanford, Auburn, OU, Nebby, LSU ... doesn't really matter.

I'm rooting for Oregon to win out and stay far away from the Rose Bowl. I watched them for the first time last night...and I want nothing to do with that Offense. It seems like their second string is just as good as their first. Crazy good.

I want to see how Oregon does against a good defense. Not sure if they face a good D this year. Arizona may be the best D they will face.

We've heard this before. I know, this time it's different. Just like the last time it was different.

Think Michigan times 10 and that is Oregon, so I agree our D wouldn't hold up against them and would be gassed by the 4th quarter.

I don't know. UCLA is really bad, their win against Texas was a fluke. Cal put up 35 on them, and they couldn't even score against USC's suspect defense. People tend to overrate teams coming off of impressive wins, remember how Alabama was unbeatable after their win over Florida. Teams with a good offense, especially teams that use a lot of play action, will be able to pick apart Oregon's defense. They blitz and over pursue so much that if you get a little protection you're going to have guys open downfield. Their game against USC next week is going to be a shootout. USC's defense is not good, but Barkely should be able to pick on Oregon's secondary.

I was skeptical until I watched them play last night.
However, I would like to see them play a very physical, athletic defense.

But folks, at this point, Iowa would have problems with Oregon. You need really good linebackers that make rapid reads to counter this offense and Iowa does not have that right now.

Now, could they play like that in November, outdoor stadium?

Do you know what the best defense they've faced is? Arizona State, ranked #47 in total defense. And Oregon only won that game 42-31. Hardly a dominating performance, and against a middle of the road defense.

Playing football like a video game is not conducive to winning championships. DEFENSE wins championships. We have it. They don't, and haven't faced it, either.

Oregon isn't invincible. Someone with a good enough defense to disrupt the Duck's timing and a ball-control offense that keeps their own D fresh will be able to beat them.

Plus, Oregon's O is so based on timing and precision that they'll likely not be sharp in a bowl game after a long layoff.

As good as they looked last night, I'll be surprised if they finish the season without at least one loss.

Oregon was an unstoppable offensive force last year as well heading into the Rose Bowl. Their offense can be slowed down by a good defense.
