Realize that a player making it to the NBA or any of the overseas leagues is as much a product of the player's own talent and abilities. But perhaps that is also central to the question.
IMHO, the pro game is so different from the college game that success in college doesn't guarantee success in the pros, and the contribution of coaching is largely irrelevant.

Don't be surprised if Looby gets there. With his size he might just end up as a roster player.
How many did did Mr. Davis have after Raveling's recruits were gone? Ryan Bowen, Ricky Davis...Did Woolridge or Kingsbury ever play a game in the league? JR Koch? Les Jepsen? There were not many.
