Has Bob Stoops been fired yet?

I think they signed him to a long term contract and they can't afford a buyout. Hoping to be able to get farther into his contract where the buyout is more affordable. He's hoping to stick around until the end of his contract so his son can take over for him.

That is Stoops I'm thinking of, right?

Sure sounds like someone we know...

I realize they were in the playoff last year, but let's say they go 8-4 this year...It definitely be interesting in Norman.

If wisky wins this game Les Miles will immediately join him on the hot seat list.

You have obviously never talked to a OU fan. Apples and oranges my friend.

Like Iowa, depends on which fans you talk with and which season. There are fans around that remember the end of Switzer, Gibbs, Schalleberger, and Blake.

No, he's not going anywhere...I don't think.

I'm glad the Hawks didn't open up at Houston. Or played LSU at Green Bay either.

I agree, I don't think he should go or will go anywhere. I'm just saying lots of fans want to move on from him, as they haven't won a NC since 2000, and have had several teams talented enough to do so since then. Different expectations there is all.

LSU was not, is not and will not be close to a top 5 team. QB is terrible and no threat to complete a pass. Wisconsin knew it. Kudos to them. I wish Iowa had opened with LSU. Far and away the most winnable game amongst the top tier teams.

Don't understand what? Common Core Math?

Does anyone understand common core math?

Side note: My oldest is in first grade and I dread the day they start doing it. I was always good at math but when that day comes it'll be an entirely different level of clueless that he's yet to experience.

I honestly can no longer really help the kids with math. And I have a graduate degree (not math).

I teach math in HS and college and I can't help my kids in elementary with math. Apparently I've been wrong all along (and got into a rather heated argument with the teacher that told me this) that 2x4 and 4x2 are not the same. She called me quite the name to my son in front of the class.

Hahaha... if only you were talking about buying lumber instead... I laugh from where I'm sitting reading that but I can't imagine your frustration at the time. What the heck...
