Has anyone seen Ben Dillard play?

Anyone seen Coach Dillard's son play? Kind of strange he hasn't been mentioned as potential addition to the team as a walk on or possibly even a scholarship player depending on how the offers turn out. I see he has "interest" from Texas A&M, TCU, SMU, North Texas, Okie State, SMU and Iowa, but no offers.

6"2 combo guard who plays with the Dallas Mustangs in AAU. We could use depth at the guard spot and maybe he would come in as a walk on with a chance to earn a scholarship next season. Might be an ego thing if he has other scholarship offers and don't know about family dynamics, but I would assume he would like to play for / be close to his dad.

I've always wondered why coaches' kids need scholarships. Don't university employees' kids usually get a huge (maybe full) break on tuition? Even if they don't, surely the coach makes enough to pay for them to go to school. Just makes the team better by freeing up another scholarship. And the only cost is a slight hit to the kid's pride. I always thought the Ferentz boys should have done that.

Well a) that is really cheating the system.
b) then the player doesn't get on the team meal plan, the educational assistance and misses a lot of the opportunities to help them out. Yes I'm sure the money thing isn't an issue, but they need to be on scholly so they get the benefits they deserve. Now if they don't deserve the scholly then they should walk on yes.

Professors and coaches do not get a break on tuition for their kids.

Ben Dillard, one would assume, want to play college ball at the level where he will contribute and play.

Sure, as Iowa fans, it would be nice to have a quality walk-on who can contribute in a pinch, but if the player can go play and battle for minutes at a mid-major level, good for him.
