I was wondering if any team other than IOWA has ever done this???

Before this Football Season is over, Iowa will have played at least 7 ranked Teams! Arizona is #9 right now, Penn St who was #22, Michigan will be top 20, Michigan St will be top 20, Wisconsin top 10 team, Northwestern is #25 this week, Oh and Ohio St should be #2 if not #1 come November 20th! Most likely when we win out or one loss, will play another Ranked Team in a Bowl game thats 8 teams in one Season! I dont think thats ever been done before!

8 Ranked teams in one yr seems SUPER impressive and maybe those pre season schedule rankings should take a look now at who has the Toughest Schedule! Dont think it was Iowa State anymore hahah!

Let me know if you know any other teams to play 8 Ranked teams in a single Season! Thanks!

The loser of Mich/Mich St may not be ranked when we play them. Wisky is no longer a top 10 team. Odds are against Northwestern still being ranked when we play them as well. I'm not sure if we have played this many teams that were ranked at one point in a season however.

Are you going to retire after this most recent injury?

There is not guarantee any teams we play the rest of the season will be ranked at this point.

I want to say Florida played like 6 teams that were ranked, including OU in the BCS title game in 2008.

This would look very impressive on the ESPN schedule/results page. I am thinking the number will be 7 though, as the loser of this weeks Mich/MSU game will likely drop from the top 25. If Michigan wins a close one, MSU may have a chance to stay in, but I don't see Michigan hanging in the top 25 with a loss.

The problem with this is that Iowa needs to impress the computers at the end of the year, and that means hoping for a bunch of tight Big 10 games, with a lot of 1-2 loss teams. Or else the opponents that end the year ranked will thin drastically.

I suppose that a good guess might be someone that plays in the same conference as us. I going to take a wild guess and say Minnesota plays 7 ranked opponents during the regular season but I doubt they'll have much chance for any post season play.
