https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nc...nge-for-nfl-draft/ar-BB13Kog5?ocid=spartanntp Harbaugh includes: "If a student-athlete left after his freshman season or a fourth season, according to Harbaugh's proposal, he would be eligible to have one year of his continuing education paid for by the school. If the player went pro after his second or third year in college, Harbaugh suggested he would be entitled to an additional two years of his education." I guess tuition is awful high at Michigan if the poor kid drafted #255 is making $600+k and needs help with tuition.

Hopefully like in the early 2000s the NFL stands firm on their eligibility rules. And the NFLPA would also have to get on board knowing that a lot of guys in the late 20s and early 30s would suddenly be out of a job in favor of young, cheaper, more athletic players.

While I understand the individual young players would benefit, the sport of college football would be devastated if the NFL drafted guys 1 year out of school.

Anybody who watched college basketball in the 80s and early 90s knows what early entries it did to that sport.

So in other words Harbaugh is saying,

“I have a better chance of winning by getting a bunch of 2-yr players and paying them for 4-yrs cuz #deeppocketsatMichigan
