Harbaugh ... real class

He may be a good coach, but he tucks his sweatshirts in. C'mon man, who does that? (My apologies to any posters who tuck in their sweatshirts, as I have a feeling there are more than a few.)

Yes, and fascinatingly, those are the exact attributes that add up to making a perfect football coach.

I think what makes him a good coach is he is intellectually intelligent plus hard nosed.

Some of his other "eccentricities" really don't add anything to his coaching.

In 1968, OSU beat Michigan 50-14, and OSU went for 2 after their last touchdown. When Woody Hayes was asked after the game what his reasoning was for going for 2, he said, "Cause I couldn't go for three."

Somewhat similar to Alford, they're both good coaches (though Harbaugh is much better) that eventually wear out their welcome because they're complete tools.

Harbaugh may last at Michigan though, they'll be willing to overlook it with a native son.
I agree, except for the Alf is a good coach part.

I think the point was that both HairProduct and Harbaugh are much better coaches then people, and that's certainly true.

He no doubt was sending a message to Rutgers - don't even begin to think you're Big Ten material!

Harbaugh has genuine mental issues. Not even saying that to be funny or sarcastic. All you have to do isread his interviews and any in-depth story about the guy and you can see that he has more than one screw lose. What separates him from the people who might get locked up in a mental ward is that he channels his sociopathy into being a football coach.

Google Bruce Feldman's profile on him and you'll see exactly what I mean.

A couple quotes:

At times like these, Harbaugh appears brilliant and prescient.
But there are other times with Harbaugh's reactions where folks -- players and staffers included -- come away shaking their heads, perplexed. Those moments are often accompanied by The Look.

"It's like a great white shark (vacant expression) -- mouth's open, he's just staring at you," said a former Harbaugh assistant.

A former player of his says, "You're wondering what the hell is he thinking-- or if he's thinking?"

On this day the subject that gets Harbaugh going the most is longtime syndicated court TV show star Judge Judy.
"I love Judge Judy," he says. "We have some great Supreme Court members, tremendous Supreme Court currently that we have, but I'd love to see Judge Judy on the Supreme Court. I just love everything about her."

Good football coach? Definitely.

Asperger's? Yep.

absofrickinlutely. If not for our country's psychotic obsession with sports, this man is in a straight jacket licking the windows at piney acres mental institution.

You might want to familiarize yourself with Asberger's. Many with the syndrome are highly functional, even savants. A lot of people feel Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were on the spectrum, they certainly exhibited some symptoms.
