Look, you have to disregard the 3 huge schools, Michigan, OSU and PSU. With them out, we're at the bottom of the top. Alternatively, if you include them, we're at the top of the bottom. Either way, it's not shitty.

so which 4 schools are better than iowa in the B1G? you're essentially saying we're the 5th best team in the B1G if you don't count UM/OSU/PSU. should we be 5th best team (not counting UM/OSU/PSU) at $4+ mil per and 12th highest salary nationally?

Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue and Northwestern. They all have multi-game win streaks on us including a win this year. We beat Michigan and OSU last time we played them, so we are better than them.

Iowa is consistently in the top 8 or 9 in the Big Ten in recruiting. That is not shitty, pal.

8-9 in the Big 10 is not where we need to be. When Ferentz has to offer a running back with no other offers in all of college football and grab a JUCO back at Iowa, historically a great running team, you have a recruiting problem that can only be described as shitty, pal. None of our receivers or running backs would start at Illinois. That is what Ferentz has put together!

Given that there are 14 teams in the conference, I think it's about right. While I think IC is great, within the B1G I don't know how Iowa can expect to outdraw a lot of the teams. We don't have any beaches.

From the looks of our current receivers and running backs, I’d say they are taking recruits fishing at Lake Odessa in July at noon.
