If Iowa played today, they beat Ohio St or Northwestern (and Oklahoma and Iowa St). Unfortunately, the Big Ten covered for Ohio St....and Iowa stubbed its toe to start the season.

It was the perfect storm for them and they still couldn't do it. Got OU early with a freshman QB, a bunch of those that are usually decent at best were bad. There weren't really any good teams other than OU, and they were really down. They can only hope it sucks again next year.
