Had heart...

They made some big plays and Stanley and the receivers looked really good and they need more chances. They made some big plays but boy after the defense played pretty well they just got tired with those last two drives that made it go from 14 pts to 24 pts.

Well good thi

agreed, why they handcuff this team for the 1st 3 quarters baffles me. Come out no huddle, running and gunning. A lot of talent on this team and the coaches despise opening up the playbook
There is not a lot of talent on this team. Tyler Goodson and Tyrone Tracy are the 2 brights spots on an awful offense.

The defense played like crap the whole game. When did Wisconsin have any trouble running on us? They ran it down our throats the entire game. Coan is even worse than Stanley, and we didn't make him beat us, and let Taylor run wild all game. Stanley looked good? Outside of a big play to Tracy, he looked like his usual self. Missed open guys, threw late, and he had time to throw most of the game. This offense is beyond brutal.

Yeah I meant to say Stanley et al did better those last few drives. Yes the offense has been brutal most of the year but the stuff I said was correct for the title of the thread. The problem is a circular problem in that if the offense was much better then the defense could rest more and if the offense scored more the defense would win us these games.

Not sure why the coaches dont go hurry up earlier, throw the ball downfield more earlier

Don't say anything negative about our precious, average & over the hill coach Kirk Ferentz or Huck Finn and DD Thomas will scold you.

Wow, he missed a total of one throw (that should have been caught) in the 2nd half. He was just fine as usual.

Kirk is not over the hill...he took the tunnel to get to the other side, cause he's lazy. Plus it gives him more time to count his money.

It's harder to watch every year as Iowa tries to "outmuscle" Wisconsin. We can't. We can't run the same play two times in a row and expect success. Iowa's only chance is to be creative on offense and out-smart Wisconsin. If a 3-year starter at QB can't do it I don't know who can. This is another game Iowa should have had a large lead going into the half but didn't. Missed opportunity after missed opportunity, it's discouraging.

Exactly. I hope Goodson doesn't get discouraged playing behind (2) 4.8 40 guys, and transfer.
I just do not get it..Go back over the years and count the number of hawkeyes who have been "under used" in this cluster **** of an offense. Hard to beat good teams that have #1 draft picks gewtting 31 carries at running back while we keep our "potential" on the bench. (5 carries for our best running back?)
