I am pretty sure he got let go from his NBA gig so he will be doing a lot more Big Ten games this season.

I remember being amped when Dick Vitale was doing Iowa games, back when he really came onto the scene in the mid 1980's. That has faded.

Johnson is that guy now, as a play by play guy....Iowa had an 8-0 run going in second half and May hoisted a three attempt...had it gone in, Johnson was ready to flip his lid...he was raising his voice as the shot went up...so wanted to hear that.

Nobody does basketball play by play better than Gus Johnson. CBS needs to move Jim Nantz out of the #1 chair for the final four.

Johnson's energy in the tournament actually adds to the magic of March

i can not agree with you more jon. gus is it when it comes to college basketball. is he with the big ten network now? i hope to see him in iowa city more this year.

And he should be teamed with Len Elmore, who I consider to be the best color commentator/game analyst.
