Gun to head, does Iowa beat UNI?

Getting ready to watch UNI vs UNC replay now. I know UNI has a good program but... How do U like the matchups?

Washpun was unbelievable that game even AFTER he got cramps. Why on earth Roy Williams went away from going to Meeks down low is beyond me. UNI had absolutely no answer for him. He was making UNI look silly even when they doubled him. Meeks even started sulking in the 2nd half cuz he wasn't getting the ball.
 
Iowa wins. Our guards play pretty amazing D and we are able to lock down the paint with our 4 & 5's. It'd take a high FG % and foul trouble with the Iowa guards to beat us.

Let me check with fairfax. He was the authority on this last year. I don't remember the name of the guy he was pumping for all american last year. I think he's playing overseas. Is the Bohanon kid still playing for UNI. He and the Washpun kid were pretty good.

Yep Bohannon is still there. Think Seth Tuttle is the guy you're thinking of..he was pretty damn good.
 
Their guards are going to be very good, but I think this is going to one of those games where Woody and Uthoff carry the team. Also Jok looks like he is really getting comfortable with his shot. Should be a fun game to watch and a good test for both teams. They are always well coached and well disciplined.
 
don't know enough about either team after 3 games. UNI has to be decent to beat UNC (and that smug son of a ***** that poaches all of the best Iowa talent) but in all honesty can we REALLY get a bead on how "good" a team either of them are right now? It's like football and the preseason poll, wait until week 8 then come talk to me. In basketball, wait until January. Would I like to beat them, yes. Would I like to beat ISU more, hell yes. wouldn't that just **** them off, all they have is basketball :D
