I really hope the coaches didn't screw up here by not going after him harder. Not too often we have a chance at a good dual-threat qb. Maybe could have been another McNutt if he didn't work out at qb, too.

Our last bigtime dual threat recruit didn't work out too well. I think the coaches cooled on that type of QB after seeing JC in action.

I wouldn't exactly call Christensen a dual threat. And besides, Rudock is way more mobile than Christensen was, so I don't know if we've really cooled on that type of QB. Rudock can move.

There's also that Derby guy and McNutt, plus Hyde was thought of as a QB prospect by some, so the idea that Iowa is staying away from mobile QBs is laughable.
Edit: and Arvell Nelson, who was thought of as a pretty mobile QB. We've also offered scholarships to a bunch of mobile QBs that turned as down in the past couple years such as Braxton Miller and Cardale Jones.
