So many high profile athletes in Cedar Falls with several former hawkeyes trying to qualify for the trials.

I watched so many matches my head is spinning. Dennis, Slaton, Joe Johnston, Uncle Luke etc. Darian Caldwell getting smoked by a high school kid. Mike Poeta and his lightning fast agility. How about old Kolat at 38 years showing the young bucks whats up? Love it!

Not to mention the JR National folkstyle tournament that took place. It was great to watch Alex Meyer have such a good showing. He will be a good one!

Did any of those Hawkeyes qualify for the Olympic Trials? I saw the Greco and Women's results, but I have not seen the Men's Freestyle.

Joe Johnston got 2nd, so he qualifys. Dan Dennis got 3rd so hes needing a wildcard to get into the trials.

since hawkeyenation doesn't pay me to cover wrestling i chose not to spend my saturday watching the event i spent it watching my little sister performing at her high school music contest. sorry i did not post anything on event
