GREAT marching band idea... just Awesome, really just fantastic

I think that from now on, whenever our opponent has the ball inside their own ten yard line, the band should play the safety dance.

In case you are curious how amazing this can be, I offer you exhibit A:

As an alum of the Hawkeye Marching Band I support this post. I also know it will never happen under the current director.

We used to play the Theme from Looney Toons when the refs made a bad call. The current powers that be, however, have no use for fun/interesting ideas. They'd rather continue playing Shout it Out Loud over and over again.

and the student section can do the dance...

Just imagine, the punt goes out of bounds, and right away the band breaks into it and the whole stadium goes crazy dancing. They line up, band pipes down, run the play, run up the middle for 2, and the band goes right back into it full throttle, stadium starts dancing again.

It would be absolutely AMAZING!

I was dubious when I saw the title of the thread but the video sold me on it. Could be a great Kinnick tradition. If the band won't play it, are the cheerleaders allowed to have amplification on the sidelines?
 
I had a smart *** response until I actually watched the video and played out the scenario in my head "inside" kinnick. I can see it! Great Idea and funny!!

I remember this video, and I couldn't imagine it at all. The I rewatched the video again, and I still can't imagine it.

Maybe at a renaissaince faire, but not at a football game.
 
That would be great! Akin to Jump Around at Camp Randall. Although I bet we would see a lot of backward "'s"'s made by fans from their arms.
 
I will only support this idea if we can find a midget (small person, or whatever is politically correct these days) and dress him in a small herky outfit to dance along with the fans.

That is because you are a tool and a USC fan. You cover this site like a blanket policing , spelling , jabbing at ideas , defending the media when they bash us , and down playing Iowa fans posts .

If you dont believe me look at this guys previous posts . He should have been removed a long time ago.

here we go again , and mind you , i have not been on this site in the last 2 weeks , but its the same as when i left .

With this tool constantly down grading stuff.

If you wont want to start a facebook group...dont.

you dont have to post on the site , some smart alec comment.
