Great job giving us a top 10 team to root for this year for the first time in years!

Great job getting back to the tournament for the first time in 8 years!

Great job getting to 20 wins in back to back years for the first time in what feels like forever!

Great job making Hawkeye basketball fun to watch and relevant again!

While the season didn't end like we all would have hoped, you represented the name on the front of the jersey with class and the vast majority of fans are grateful and happy for what you accomplished!

Huh? This is a joke right? Back in the tournament? We played on tru tv on Wednesday night. Felt more like an NIT game to me. 20 wins? We won several more last year and returned everyone plus Uthoff. Fun to watch? Watching them for the past month and a half has been utter torture. Relevant again? Relevant when discussing the most disappointing and underachieving teams of the year. Represented us with class? Our coach threw numerous tantrums, got suspended for bumping a ref, and almost stroked out on every call that went against us. Our senior leader threw a guy half his size down on the ground on national tv and told the entire Iowa fan base to suck his Johnson. Grateful and happy for what they accomplished? And what was that? A 9-9 big ten record two games behind Nebraska. Losing 7 of 8 in the most important and relevant part of the season. And leaving the fan base completely disappointed and almost happy we don't have to watch their collapses any more.

actually my life is great. I have a great family, a tremendous career and a lot of love from a huge network of family and friends. I travel, read, exercise, and enjoy discussing many topics other than Iowa athletics. But I do not love in Rainbow Land, and you can't make me. I don't look at a truly disappointing situation and call it a success, then give thanks for it. Instead, I expect an apology. I demand more from life than you.

As for being a "coward," I can call you names that make no sense at all too. Dingo. Fungo. Pollyanna.

I demand quite a bit from life myself. I just don't demand anything from college players playing a freaking game. And I certainly don't care to publicly rip players and coaches who happen to be human beings as well. I guess I have a different opinion than you of what basic human decency is and tend to accentuate the positive rather than dwell on the negatives.... Especially when it comes to something as trivial as a college basketball game.

Oh, they are human beings? Well that changes everything. Congratulations fellas. Well done. Let's all chip in for a 67th place trophy and a banner. I'm still bitter but since it is midnight now I am going to turn the page and let my negativity go. I'm now adopting Wichita State, which means they are doomed.

I love reading posts from dorks that live vicariously thru a sports team and act like they've been slighted personally by what they perceive as a lack of accomplishments from said team. Good job!

Nothing cracks me up more than people who thinks a sports team owes them something. Go find Marble or McCabe somewhere in IC and let them know how much they let you down! LOL

I agree with Jonny. He makes very valid points. Then because someone didn't like his views, he was called a coward and a dork. After a month like we just went through, I think people are bound to be angry. I hope this thread isn't what resulted in his banning because I've seen worse.
