How to not play defense. A fun game and I enjoyed the season regardless of what happened today. I think Iowa is a better defensive team next year. With Woody in the middle and from what we have heard about Clemmons and Ingram and how they can guard out front, it can only get better.

Most of the scoring was underclassmen today. This team still played well offensively as teams started to key on Gatens late in the year. I see White, McCabe, Oglesby, Basabe and Marble all improved next year. I think the hawks have a legitimate shot to make the NCAA tournament.

The first half we played ok defense, but in the second it was a combo of them hitting their shots & us not playing the best defense. I am looking forward/hoping to see some better D next year. We could use some better exterior D and a presense inside will go a long way. Hopefully we have that coming.

As for the scoring, I am very optimistic for the future! The underclassmen did all the scoring. Gatens was off. He had looks, he just could not make the shots. The seniors score less than 20% of our points today. The youngins looked good scoring today and of late in the season... The underclassmen will get better, too.
