Actually, bless Doug. Just heard him a minute ago arguing with that fool Davis about Iowa. Really lambasted the referees in the game. I like it that someone is sticking up for the Hawks. Take a leap, Davis.

GOOD, because somebody needs to call out the refs for that one. I saw MSU got beat today in a close game.. I hope they got screwed on a few calls today that made the difference.

I was thinking the same thing..
We ended up that year with a 7-9 conference record but...

In the non-conference, Iowa beat Louisville, Texas, UNI, ISU, St. Louis & Tex. Tech by 30! (Tech made 2nd rd of NCAA that year) Also lost to N. Carolina in the finals out in Hawaii. UNC won the NCAA that year. We played a brutal non-league schedule and he was adamant that we not get in because we played and beat the good teams with Pierre Pierce & that we were not the same team without him. Funny he's lobbying for Iowa this year when they had far better tourney credentials in 2004/05.

I think Doug is CBS Sports now... Regardless, I've always respected his opinion on college basketball. I really doubt he is "trolling" Iowa fans with this talk. He's been on the Hawkeye bandwagon for the last month or so saying they should be in. As someone else stated I think it's great he is keeping Iowa's name in the forefront - give the committee something to think about.
