Gopher/Weisman tidbit

One of my best friends is friends with a Gopher coach. He told me that there is a picture of Weisman in the Gopher FB complex that says, "Are you tough enough to tackle him?" The coaches were impressed with him and disappointed in their own kids' efforts last year. Gonna be a good game for Floyd. Of course I told my friend that the big guy is our 3rd best RB. I don't feel that way but any way to stick it to a rodent... Go Hawks!

Well hopefully the Gophers D is as good (or bad) as they looked last night. If that's the case I feel pretty good about Iowa just lining up and running over them and throwing over them at will. UNLV is a bad team and they outplayed the Gophers for a large portion of that game.

Great to see the Gophers picking players off a 4-8 team to evaluate their toughness. Not a shot at Weisman or our team, by any means but if he was that much of a motivational tool for their defense would love to see what there mentality would be like next year if we turn the corner.

I just watched that game last night. Weisman was very impressive in that game. Our attempt to get the passing game going in the 2nd half was equally unimpressive.
