Last night while watching the preseason edition of Iowa Football With Kirk Ferentz, Julian Vandevelde said something that gave me goosebumps and sent a chill through my body:
"The sign on the practice field says 'Prepare to be the best' and that's what we're doing. The Rose Bowl is nice, but the best teams play for the national title, and that's what we're trying to do."
I know it's nothing major, but it tells me that the team is well aware of the potential they have and are shooting for the whole thing. This season is going to be fun!
