Hmm, sounds like some team on the western edge of the Big Ten.According to their message board, they have 6 5*s and 41 4*s. 8-4? And he still has a job?

Our receivers will be tested. Both of USC's corners are 5 star recruits, both safeties are 4 star recruits. Crazy how much talent they have to be 8-4.
Their top WR has more receptions in the last 4 games than any Iowa receiver has all season. Their #2 and #3 receivers have 68 catches each. Our top guy has 44 catches. Yikes!

Some around here lose their minds when Kirk wins 9 games with what four 4* players on the entire roster? USC didn't make a bowl last year and won 8 games this year with like 40+ 4* players or better.

Could you even imagine if Stanley did that??!! First thing I thought of. Dude's last game last snap. I mean what a way to put a wrap on a guys career. That would be so so sickeningPitt vs Eastern Michigan was a pretty good one last night, right down to Eastern's QB getting tossed. It was an entertaining back and forth game.
That would be nice! They will bulldoze them and wear them out.
Hopefully tonight will be the "launch" of Stanley's NFL draft move up the board!Could you even imagine if Stanley did that??!! First thing I thought of. Dude's last game last snap. I mean what a way to put a wrap on a guys career. That would be so so sickening
True, but for the most part they areOther than Tennessee, Florida and Standford the past few years.
Kirk is a good person. We are fortunate to have him.I mostly agree with you but dont you still think over the last 4 years Kirk would have won a few more big games, like Wisky/Mich/PSU this year, by opening it up on offense a little more? Penn Sts dbacks werent great, they had a big pass rush, but some really good coaching could have got us some more chances at big plays. Coaches waited way too long to test a Wisky defense that was giving up big plays this year to Illinois, Illinois mind you.

SURELY, we will have 5 or 6 DB's in at all times!! If we ever play a standard 4-3, I will have to question Phil Parkers mental stateThey are an air raid team, and have completed over 100 more passes than us.
Yep, but still some scary numbers. They are an air raid team, and have completed over 100 more passes than us.

I guess I just don’t think it is that simple. Who knows what happens if Iowa’s offense is more wide open. Maybe we turn it over twice at ISU and lose that game. Maybe we do end up beating Penn St. Maybe we turn it over vs Minnesota and we lose that game.
I mean acting like you just pick and choose the games you “open it up” seems like you want Iowa to become a team that doesn’t know its identity. I mean you are either an offensive team that opens it up or you aren’t. We are not obviously.
