Iowa has been in the news around the collge football landscape a lot over the last 3 years. Yes, most of its been for the wrong reasons. I could normally count on every national podcast having a segment dedicated to iowa. Not that it was flattering but it usually agreed with my point of view.
Going forward I think Iowa will return to obscurity. The Pac 4 joining the league, Deion Sanders, Michigan, and the other top teams will crowd out the Iowa narratives. In fact it will probably get back to Iowa does not get ranked unitl much later than other teams (as they were before) and one loss and poof unranked again.
