Good thing Hawks didn't add this to schedule

Huskers announce these adds to their schedule:
  • South Dakota State—Sept 12, 2020; Aug. 31, 2024; Sept. 9, 2028
  • North Dakota—Sept. 3, 2022; Sept. 19, 2026
  • Georgia Southern—Sept. 10, 2022

North Dakota and SDSU are actually tough opponents. To me if you're going to schedule FCS opponents then schedule crappy ones.

Any coach that loses to an FCS opponent deserves to be fired. Lloyd Carr was gone after the Appy State game. Spurrier was gone after the 'Cocks lost to Citadel. Other than Turner Gill keeping that Kansas job after that fluke loss to ND State, I can't think of any credible BCS program that didn't part ways with a coach after such a loss.

Because firing Lloyd Carr worked out so well for Michigan.

N Dakota was 3-8 or so last year

The hawks dont need these teams on their schedule. Nebby must be really scared of another losing season trying to play these teams.

Our fanbase would EXPLODE and run Frost out of town before he even coached his first game. We expect to play Alabama all 12 games.

They had a bunch of injuries. They were preseason favored to win the Big Sky. But maybe they are projected to be crappy since they are in a transition as they are switching conferences.

SDSU though has made the playoffs every year since 2012 and play in the semi finals tomorrow.

Nothing good comes out of playing the FCS except a win towards bowl eligibility and everything to lose while the FCS team has nothing to lose. So if you feel like you GOTTA schedule a game against them then make sure you win. It wouldn't surprise me if Nebraska didn't lose at least 1 of these games, and I'll laugh if they do.

We already play a tough enough non-con schedule. We played a team that got 1st in its conference, got 2nd in it's conference, and well, ISU, who finished 7th, but we're kind of stuck with that scrub.

I thought Georgia Southern moved up, and if their new coach runs the option like some of their old coaches they could be a tricky opponent.

Yes there just are not enough teams to schedule and the uneven 9 game Big schedule at the last minute makes it hard to find opponents with open dates.

IIRC, he was let go because after his first two or three seasons he had trouble beating OSU, the only team that matters to Michigan alumni. Doesn't matter that he's one of the winningest coaches in FBS history (122-40), if you coach Michigan and can't beat OSU you are run out of town.

Wonder how many more losses to Bucks that Harbaugh can endure then. They own him so far.
