rob I was thinking of driving, I have a 1971 Impala. I'd leave Greensboro on the 28th and pick you up. We'll leave Iowa and drive straight through.
Of course we'll stop in Colorado and stock up on cambia's edibles. I chain smoke so if you smoke it will be awesome.
I also like to drink brown liquor when I drive too. People say that my car smells like lime vodka and bong water. My 8-track is ready to go with my quadrophonic sound system.

Wrong route, bro. You'll want to take I-40 out there. We'll get the edibles in Arizona. I can have my wife drop me off at the Cracker Barrel in Asheville and you can swing in and pick me up. I'll bring a suitcase full of miscellaneous belts and hoses and a Chiltons for the inevitable breakdown. It is going to be epic.

Swing through Omaha and grab me. I have an 8 track of Kenny Rodgers “The Gambler” and a case of Tito’s Vodka.

Can I drive over from Raleigh to carpool? I will bring the swisher sweets

What do you guys think a typical cost for a Rose Bowl weekend is? I was talking about it with a buddy. I'd be flying from another West Coast city, but I assume flights are crazy expensive for a holiday weekend. So flight + 2 nights hotel split with buddy + average game ticket + rental car. None of the dee-luxe options that Miller and Howe are used to, but just your typical Rose Bowl weekend.

Excellent. I vote yes. If we get Hawkfnntn on board we will have a full car and can split the gas 4 ways. He's gonna have to get north to meet us on I-40, but I suspect he can just park his car somewhere in Memphis when we pick him up. This is going to be epic.

I'm in Iowa so you'd have to estimate from where you live, but the cheapest round trip flight I saw within a reasonable drive is $262 out of Minneapolis to LAX. That was flying in Friday and leaving Sunday.

2 day compact car rental from enterprise at the airport was $285.

Looks like your average motel room in a Quality Inn/Comfort Inn/Super 8 type room would be around $150/night in Pasadena.

Individual game tickets go onsale Wednesday and start at $165, so figure $200 after taxes and fees (it's California), and those are probably garbage seats. Budget more for better seats, my buddy went in 2015 and sat fairly high, he hated it. Those bleachers are at such a low angle that he felt like he was a quarter mile from the field.

Food, gas, drinks, walking around money...you probably don't want to take less than $500 each (remember, it's California).

So going as cheap as you possibly could it'd look something like this:

Flight - $262
1/2 Hotel - $150
1/2 rental car - $142
Game Ticket - $200
Food, Gas, Spending money - $500

Total - $1,254 per person
