Yeah, it really sucked to watch the team battle through one of the worst shooting half's since Todd Lickliter and come back to take a lead and have the game winning shot at the end of regulation. And yes it sucked to watch missed free throws kill us in OT. This team is teasing us with "almost" comebacks and taking big first half leads on rated teams only to fritter them away but I guess the fact that this team is doing it with 3 freshmen and 1 sophomore on the starting team should encourage us. This is a bridge season to get us back to upper bracket of the B1G relevance and but for a couple of screwed up opportunities we could have been raising some real eyebrows this year (should have won against MSU, might have won against IND....) so I guess when I get frustrated and start cussing at my dog what I need to remember is that just two or three years ago watching Iowa basketball wasn't frustrating it was down right depressing. We are climbing the hump and we are nearly over it....the rest of this season we can hope for a couple surprise wins and holding serve at home and who knows? Next year our expectations should be upper half of the B1G and the year after that....maybe something special.
