I hope this isn't taken down . . . we all know it would be at HR . . . that website is less about rooting for the Hawkeyes than it is trolling visiting fanbases.
HN, to its credit, is much more about discussing the team and being stalked by fellow posters. I know a lot of people come to Hawkeye boards looking for someone who hasn't passed their "purity" test. Heck I may have engaged in some of that. It's time for all of us to engage in introspection and ask ourselves if our luv for the Hawkeyes motivates us to do things we would cringe at if our parents or children did them. It's a good thing when we celebrate the team's accomplishments, but the Holier than thou component of our fanbase, basically the people who run to that previously mentioned website to type, "guess which of our rivals just banned me from their board?!" . . . I think celebrating those type of fans and that type of behavior doesn't help our team, nor does it help our school and state.
