Give Indiana Credit

Hoosiers played lights out. Shot 60% from 3 and shot over 60% from the field.

I thought the Bryant/Cook match-up really set the tone of the game early on when Cook tried to establish the inside presence but Bryant denied him every time. Indiana ended up with 8 blocks on the game. We didn't get many easy looks. On the flip side, I thought many of the 3s that Indiana hit were fairly well contested.

We certainly didn't play our best game but what was interesting is we beat Indiana the first game in OT at home shooting 46% and 20.8% from 3. Last night we shot 45% and 35% from 3.

So to me it was more the Hoosiers playing at a different level more so than even the Hawks not playing well.

Indiana had a ton of open looks from 3 and nailed almost all of them. Iowa was able to weather the first half blitz, but they had no answer for the second half barrage.

Fran's zone drives me nuts at times in that if teams just pass the ball around the outside they can easily get wide open looks for 3. That has been happening for years and hasn't changed.

It looked to me that we really struggled with the flow of the game, Jok was not Jok, Baer was not Baer, etc...Indiana came to play and did what they did, and their shots went down, ours not so much....

Ill give them credit. They were very good last night, With that said the Hawk were absolutely horrible last night in the 2nd half on both ends of the court. First half was pretty bad on the defensive side also

Indiana looked like they were on a mission. Iowa looked disinterested. Run the floor for a layup? Hell yeah! Run the floor to protect the basket? Meh.......
